Delete your HireMe account
You have the right to delete your account at any time. This page is for users who can’t sign in. If you can still sign in, please use the in-app flow below — it’s the fastest path.
Recommended: delete from inside the app
The fastest, most secure way. Confirm with your password and a typed phrase.
Web
Sign in → Settings → Delete account.
iOS / Android
Settings tab → Delete account at the bottom.
Can’t sign in? Request deletion by email
Enter the email address on your HireMe account. We’ll send a confirmation link. Clicking it will let you finalize the deletion without signing in.
What gets deleted
- Your name, email, phone, profile photo, bio, and skills are anonymized.
- Your messages, push tokens, saved jobs, blocks, and notifications are deleted.
- Reviews you wrote are kept but stripped of identifying text.
- Your Stripe customer record is removed upstream.
- Financial records (invoices, escrow rows) are retained for 7 yearsper Estonian tax law (Raamatupidamise seadus §12) but no longer reference you personally.
- If you have open jobs, held escrow, or live job offers, please sign in to resolve them first — we won’t delete the account while obligations are pending.
Need help?
For assisted deletion (e.g. lost both email and password), email privacy@hireme.ee from any address with proof of account ownership. We respond within 14 days per GDPR Article 12.
